Country Music’s Midland Covers “I Saw a Tiger”
If you haven't seen Netflix's recent bing-worthy docuseries, Tiger King, then we probably can't be friends. As the show progresses, we learn that the star of the show, Joe Exotic, is a self-proclaimed musician. Although we have now learned that he was allegedly faking the whole thing Milli Vanilli style, we can't deny that the music is cheesy but inspiring.
Midland decided to do a version of Exotic's song called I Saw a Tiger. The song talks about how the singer felt when he first saw a tiger and how it is important to protect these majestic beasts. They did a very socially distant recording involving the entire band dressed in their favorite Joe Exotic outfit. Although this isn't the greatest recording of the group, it's a step in a good direction to head into the studio for it.
