Dak Prescott Buys 20% Stake in Walk-On’s Restaurant Franchises
Walk-On's restaurants have a new investor, as Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott has decided to buy into the sports bar and restaurant franchise.
Prescott has roots in Southwest Louisiana. He was born in Sulphur and went to Mississippi State to play his college football before becoming the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.
Prescott is now taking some of the money he's made in the NFL and is investing it, with one of those investments being Walk-On's. Prescott will take co-ownership of the Dallas-Fort Worth locations and the Waco area location.
The sports bar and restaurant was started by two former LSU basketball players. You may not know this, but their are currently 51 locations of Walk-On's restaurants in operation in the United States. There are locations in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, and North and South Carolina.
The company is looking to expand to other parts of the country in states like Colorado and Ohio.
Retired NFL quarterback, Drew Brees, also has a stake in the company, so adding another big name to the Walk-On's franchise is a great move.
However, the Walk-On's locations themselves are run by local franchise owners like the one here in Lake Charles, whose owner recently opened up a second location in Port Arthur.
