From 2003 to 2008, the USA network aired a show called Nashville Star which was the equivalent to an American Idol talent show but just for country singers.  Some of the biggest country artists out right now were on that show.

You may not know this but on the first season of the show, Miranda Lambert was a contestant and she finished third that year.  In 2006, Chris Young won the show!

David St. Romain, who is from Alexandria, Louisiana, appeared on the show in 2007 and finished third.  What is almost pretty cool is that Alabama front man Randy Owen and Blake Shelton were judges that year.  Yes Blake was on Nashville Star way before he was on "The Voice".

After the show, David St. Romain became real close with Randy Owen and in 2010 he released his album All I really wanted to say which spawned the hit "Twenty years Late" which moved all the to #56 on the Billboard chart.

Well David is coming back to Southwest Louisiana tonight and will be performing at the Isle of Capri casino in the Caribbean Cove!  He will step on stage around 8 p.m. tonight and play until Midnight.  It is free to go so if you have a chance, make sure you go watch a up and coming country recording artist who is from right here in Louisiana.

Here is David St. Romain on Nashville Star.
