Born with the idea that more people needed to experience Georgia peaches, the owner of The Peach Truck had an idea to bring real Pearson Farm Georgia peaches to the nation.

On its first tour, the truck sold ten tons of peaches in five weeks. Now, the peach truck has grown into numerous semi trucks that tour the nation. The peaches are as fresh as 48 hours from being picked when they get to the consumer to be picked up. That means the trucks never stop running from the moment the peaches get picked to the moment you take a bite of the amazing little pitted fruit.

This year, in June, the peach truck tour is coming to Lake Charles to make two stops along its tour. On June 6, it will be at Northern Tool + Equipment from 12:00pm to 1:00pm then it will move on to the Prien Lake Mall from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Not only will the truck be carrying real Georgia peaches, but it will also have bags of pecans for sale.

You can pre-order your peaches from their website if you are afraid of missing out. A 25-pound box of peaches will run you $43.00 and a combo of peaches and pecans will set you back $100. I gotta be honest, I don't believe I have ever had a real Georiga peach, so count me in for an order. Seems like the proper way to kick off a hot Louisiana summer, for sure!
