Jeep Owners Honor Buddy Russ With JEEP Spelling of RUSS

For the last few years, the Seven-Slot Society of SWLA and many other jeep owners across the Southwest Louisiana area have come together for a weekend at Holly Beach. During the weekend, they bring their Jeeps together to spell out certain words.

As many of us know, our Buddy Russ, Russ Conrad passed away on March 31, 2023. Those of you that knew Russ, knew that he LOVED his Jeeps and the friendships he built through his time with groups like the Seven Slot Society of SWLA. One of Russ's favorite weekends of the year was Topless Weekend.

Many of the members would tell you that when Russ would hit the sand, he was in his element. Russ was so much more than just a DJ or an emcee at Topless Weekend. Russ WAS Topless Weekend. This year, the society honored our beloved Russ by dedicating the 2023 Go Topless Weekend to Buddy Russ.

His love for his Jeep was so big, he even had a photoshoot in front of his Jeep back in 2016.

Russ's love for Jeeps even continued once he didn't own a Jeep anymore. He purchased an old beat-up Jeep and wanted to completely redo the paint job and get it running once more.

The passing of our dear Buddy Russ was devastating for all of us. Over the weekend, various Jeep owners and groups came together for a busy weekend at Holly Beach to not only take their annual "JEEP" photo but to also honor our dear friend Russ Conrad with the spelling of "RUSS."

There was a phenomenal turnout for the event as over 75 Jeep owners showed up in their Jeeps for a fun day at Holly Beach and for the spelling of both "JEEP" and "RUSS."

There were Jeep owners ranging through Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas!! What a way for the JEEP community to honor OUR Buddy Russ.
