American Idol finalist Alyssa Raghu invited country star Kane Brown to be her duet partner during Sunday night's (May 19) Season 17 finale of the TV singing competition. First, Brown performed a sweet and soulful rendition of his "Good as You," and the country singer brought some fiddle to his performance.

In fact, the country superstar spotlit his fiddle player with an intimate solo during the performance, putting the finishing touches on the song's heartfelt message.

Next, Raghu joined Brown onstage to perform "Lost in the Middle of Nowhere,"  a track that originally appeared as a collaboration between the country singer and pop star Becky G.

Seventeen-year-old Raghu is an Orlando, Fla., native. She returned to the American Idol finale after making it to the show's Top 10 this season but being eliminated when cuts were made to bring the number of remaining contestants down to eight.

Brown has been on a roll after releasing his sophomore album, Experiment, in 2018. This summer, he's on the road with Jason Aldean, for Aldean's Ride All Night Tour. He and his wife, Katelyn Jae, are also expecting their first child.

American Idol has been renewed for an 18th season, its third on ABC, after its cancellation by Fox. Specific details for the new season have not yet been revealed.
