There is only one lone team left in Southwest Louisiana in the high school football playoffs.  That team is the The Kinder Yellow Jackets who beat the Welsh Greyhounds 20-14 last Friday night to punch their ticket to the state championship.

This will be the third straight year that Kinder has made it to the state championship.  Two years ago, Kinder beat Many to win the 2-A championship and as fate would have it, Kinder and Many both made it back to the championship game where Kinder lost.

This year thought is a different tale.  Kinder will not face Many because Many lost in the second round of the playoffs this year.  Instead Kinder will take on Mangham for the title.

Kinder and Mangham will meet up this Friday night in the Mercedes Benz Superdome to play for the 2-A state championship.  Kickoff for the game is set for 8 p.m. Friday night.
