Korn Ferry Tour 2021 Postponed to 2022 in Lake Charles
Weeks before the first tee-off, the 2020 PGA Korn Ferry Tour at the Golden Nugget was set to take place. The tour is a route for players to make their way through the ranks to get to the bigger tournaments. Just weeks before it was scheduled, the 2020 tour was canceled due to COVID-19.
It was then rescheduled to take place in 2021 back at the Golden Nugget. Now, due to both Hurricanes Laura and Delta impacting SWLA, the tour has made the tough decision to cancel the 2021 tour due to limited resources, damage, and strain already taking place in the SWLA area.
The tour plans to return in 2022 with the idea that the area will be in better shape to handle the influx of people, players, and media.
