By now, we're clearly getting stormy weather over the next twenty-four hours. The forecast is for the heaviest rains to arrive post midnight and last well into Thursday morning. Street flooding we witnessed just a couple of weeks ago in SWLA could happen again, perhaps even some flash flooding.

Straight line winds may be intense for moments at a time, but the risk of hail and tornado formation remains on the lower end of the scale.

Flood Statement From the National Weather Service in Lake Charles

A flood warning issued earlier remained posted today for the Calcasieu River at Glenmora and the Sabine River near Deweyville.
