Louisiana Food & Wine Festival Returns to Lake Charles
Lake Charles, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - Southwest Louisiana is gearing up for one of the biggest festivals of the year as the award-winning Louisiana Food & Wine Festival is set to take over Lake Charles next weekend.
If you can make it to a festival, someone in Louisiana has probably already done it. Whether it's cracklins, boudin, crawfish, shrimp, duck, fish, watermelon, and so much more. There is pretty much a festival for everything here in Louisiana. What can we say? We like to throw a party!
Each year, the Louisiana Travel Association hosts the Louey Awards to recognize people and organizations that make a big impact on the state’s tourism industry. Back in 2023, the Louisiana Food and Wine Festival took home a Louey Award, highlighting the festival’s success and putting Lake Charles in the spotlight.
The Louisiana Food & Wine Festival will happen September 18th-21st and will feature a variety of experiences, from wine, beer, and spirit tastings to delicious dishes prepared by local and celebrity chefs. Events like the Grand Tasting, Fire on the Lake, and the Sunday Jazz Brunch will give guests plenty of opportunities to enjoy great food, live music, and the rich Cajun and Creole heritage that Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana are known for.
