The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team will be representing their former offensive line coach, D.J. Looney, during their Friday game by wearing his name on their jerseys. Coach Looney died suddenly of a heart attack this past summer while at team workouts.

The Cajuns are proudly touting the Looney name on their backs this Friday and you can see the uniforms below @RaginCajunsFB

The Ragin' Cajuns have overcome quite a bit to get to where they are this season and none of it could have been possible without Coach Looney.

This tribute they are paying for their former coach and friend shows just how much of a lasting impact Coach Looney left on the players at Louisiana.

D.J. Looney passed away on August 1, 2020, at the age of 31.

The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns face-off against UAB this Friday.
