LSU Football Lands Just Outside Of 2024 College Preseason Polls

LSU fans and all of Louisiana are starting to get excited as the 2024 college football season is about to start this Saturday with week zero. It's an abbreviated schedule of college football games that will be on tap this Saturday, August 24, 2024.

The McNeese Cowboys from Lake Charles, Louisiana will be in action this Saturday when they take on Tarleton at 2:30 pm. They will be featured to a national television audience as the game will be televised on ESPN 2.

For the LSU Tigers football team, their season doesn't get underway until Sunday, September 1st, 2024. They will play in Las Vegas when they take on #23 USC at 6:30 pm. The game will be televised nationally on ABC.

The 2024 college football preseason polls are out and the LSU Tigers football team is sitting outside of the top 10 in the polls. The Tigers landed at #13 in the AP and #12 in the AFCA Polls

There is a unanimous top five in both polls with the Georgia Bulldogs sitting at #1. #2 is the Ohio State Buckeyes followed by the Oregon Ducks at #3. The Texas Longhorns sit at #4 followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide at #5.

None of the top five teams will play this weekend for week zero. All of the top five won't see action until Saturday, August 31st, 2024 when they all play their first game of the season.

Get ready LSU fans, the Tigers will kick off the season on a national stage in Las Vegas, Nevada against #23 USC at 6:30 pm. Don't worry Tiger fans, that Monday is Labor Day so most of you will be off for the holiday Monday so you can stay up late for the game. Geaux Tigers!
