McNeese Baseball Stay Perfect In Conference With Weekend Sweep

The McNeese Cowboys baseball team are on fire.  The Cowboys is having one of their best starts to a season in years.  They took on Nicholls this past weekend and swept the weekend series.

On Friday, the pokes beat Nicholls 9-2 and then on Saturday they won 12-3.  Then the Cowboys finished the weekend series by winning 11-8.  The sweep of Nicholls improved the Cowboys to 18-6 on the season.

What is even better for the Cowboys is that that they stayed undefeated in Southland Conference (SLC).  The Pokes are a perfect 9-0 in SLC play.

According to Hunter Bower with McNeese, the Cowboys home winning streak now stands at 16 straight games.  The Pokes are tied with Louisville for the best record in the nation.

Next up for the Cowboys is another huge inner state game against the Ragin' Cajuns of Lafayette.  The game will be played tomorrow night here in Lake Charles and will start with first pitch at 6:00 p.m.
