The McNeese Womens basketball program took a big hit yesterday as the McNeese athletic department announced that their head coach Brooks Donald Williams was leaving her position to take a job at the University of Alabama.

Williams is leaving McNeese after nine years as the head coach of the squad to take a position with the Crimson Tide Women's basketball program.

During Brooks Donald Williams tenor at McNeese she accumulated a record of 161-131 which makes her the winningest coach in McNeese Womens basketball history.

According to Matt Bonnette and McNeese Sports.com, Williams coached the Cowgirls to six consecutive national postseason tournaments in her nine seasons with the Cowgirls and compiled a 161-131 overall record.

McNeese also went on to say that their is no timeline set yet for Williams replacement.
