Everyday at 5:00 p.m. we do the "Drive at Five" for you which is 40 minutes of non-stop country music you can sing along to for your ride home.  We are able to do that because our friends over at Action Arms in Sulphur sponsor it for you Gator country.

Well last week I had the opportunity to go to Action Arms and shoot a few guns.  You may or may not know that I used to be a patrol deputy for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office for ten years.  One of my duties as a police officer was to know how to shoot a weapon.

I carried a Glock .40 on duty.  I haven't shot a handgun in years.  I am usually more of a shotgun guy.  So while I was at Action Arms last week, we filmed me shooting the weapon.

I was given an FNX .45 to shoot with a suppressor on it and elevated sites!  I put up my target and shot from a distance of 10 yards or 30 feet.  How did I do?  Do I have the skills still?  Well watch the video below and see how I did!

No a bad pattern huh?  So I think I still got it! Thanks to Damon and the great staff at Action Arms in Sulphur for giving me the opportunity!
