Moss Bluff Man Arrested and Under IRS, FBI Investigation for False Investments

Calcasieu Parish sheriff's deputies arrested a Moss Bluff man for stealing money from local victims while telling them he was investing it for them.

John Steven Blount, 54, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of theft over $1,500.

The investigation revealed Blount takes the money from victims and leads them to believe he will invest it into safe investment accounts with higher yields and limited risk.  Subsequently the victims learned that the funds were not invested nor are they available to the victims ... Blount operates under at least two company names – MB Development Enterprises and Professional Retirement Consultants. -- press release
