Gyth Rigdon Performing in DeRidder as Part of National Night Out

DeRidder, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - Southwest Louisiana's own Gyth Rigdon is set to make his return to the stage here in the area, as it was announced on Tuesday that he will be performing live in DeRidder for their annual National Night Out event. We've got everything you need to know..

National Night Out is an opportunity for you and your family to enjoy a fun, friendly atmosphere while meeting police officers, firefighters, and checking out the equipment they use in their jobs. Plus, they have treats at each event, so you can get some good eats while browsing through the event. Several towns' police departments and other entities are holding events around the area.

National Night Out is all about bringing the community together and building strong relationships between the people who live here and the officers who protect it. Along with the big event on August 5, there will also be other activities earlier in the week, like “Cones with the Cops” at Dairy Queen on August 1, where kids and families can enjoy ice cream and meet police officers.

DeRidder will be hosting its National Night Out against crime, featuring a nice entertainment lineup that includes a former contestant on NBC's The Voice, Gyth Rigdon.

• Sunday, August 4 - Comedy Gun Fight Show
• Main Event: Tuesday, August 5 – National Night Out

The Main Event will be held at the Beauregard Parish Fairgrounds and will feature food trucks, music, games, prizes, vendors, and more. The entertainment will get underway with popular local favorite Neli & Dylan before Gyth Rigdon takes the stage at 8:00.
