Sears And The Automotive Center At Prien Lake Mall Closing

I can remember when Sears was located in downtown Lake Charles and you would park on the roof and ride the escalators down to the main floor.  When the Prien Lake Mall expanded back in the late 1990's Sears moved to the mall.

Well we have now found out that the Sears store and the Sears Auto Center store in Lake Charles located at the Prien Lake Mall is closing down according to Sears corporate offices.

The Automotive center is set to close sometime in mid June while the actual Sears department store will close by the mid to end of August of this year.

No word if another store will take the space in the mall where Sears currently occupies.

The Sears store in the mall will be beginning a liquidation sale starting this Friday, May 25th, 2018.
