Local Jeep club, the Seven Slot Society of SWLA, will be holding a blood drive this coming Sunday at Hurricane Off-Road in Lake Charles. The club is holding the drive to help a local family that has found out their child has leukemia.

We felt the need to help and when it comes to a child's life, we will always try to help the best way we can. Doing a blood drive is always a little tough. A lot of people hate needles. We not only want to help out this family, but promote how important donating blood really is. - VP Russ Conrad

The club will be at Hurricane Off-Road from 2:00pm to 6:00pm this coming Sunday taking blood donations for the family, or if you would like to donate to someone else you can do that as well. You do not need to own a jeep to participate and donate. The club has also secured Weenie Dog's Hot Dog Joint to serve hot dogs from their stand during the day.

If you have a Jeep, President Jared Chandler encourages you to come out and meet the members and wants to invite Jeep owners to come to their meetings each month.
