Hey y’all. Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised right here in Southwest Louisiana and have lived here in Lake Charles most of my life. I went to Lagrange High School and McNeese State University in Lake Charles. I started in radio in 1990 at KLCL AM and then LA99. Since then I have been on the airways in Southwest Louisiana for 25 years now. I have always worked in radio right here at home. In 2005, I had the honor of launching our sister station Cajun Radio 1470 & 1290 AM which has been on the air for 10 years now. I am no stranger to Gator 99.5 as I once hosted the morning show and also hosted the midday show with the “All Request Rodeo” lunch hour and the “Gator Backstage Pass.” Outside of the studio, you can find me emceeing many of the biggest festivals in the area like the Iowa Rabbit Festival, Marshland Festival and the Coushatta Crossroads Festival. My favorite country artist of all time is George Strait! When it comes to classic country I love Conway Twitty, Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, Gary Stewart and George Jones. As far as the newer artist, I like Jamie Johnson, Chris Young, Easton Corbin, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Justin Moore and Jason Aldean. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, fishing and going to concerts. But most of all I love hanging out in my bar in my backyard, cranking up country music and of course drinking a beer! As join Emily on the morning show, I want us to all have fun and I plan to do that with you! So saddle up and come along for the ride.
I was born and raised in Moss Bluff and have been on the air in Southwest Louisiana for over 20 years. I’ve worked at Cajun Country 92.9 in Jennings, Crawfish 107.5, KBIG99, and KYKZ. I’ve been awarded the Lagniappe radio personality of the year four times and am excited to be part of the Gator 99.5 crew.
