Are you ready to go back in time? Sometimes we like going down the rabbit hole and taking a trip back and in this case, we are going back 30 years ago to the 27th annual Country Music Awards show.

What is cool about going back to that time is you see artists that were up and coming then that are country music legends now and you also see artists on the show and say where did they go?

There are also some legendary country artists on the show that are no longer with us including Johnny Cash, Naomi Judd, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn and George Jones who both make appearances on the show George Jones even wins an award for his song We Don't Need No Rockin' Chair.

The show you will watch below was hosted by Vince Gill and Clint Black that year. You know at these awards shows that the artists that perform like to introduce new songs. What is neat is that these songs that they performed on the show then that were dubbed "New" are no classic country songs.

Some of the songs performed on this show that you will see were She Use To Be Mine by Brooks and Dunn, Reba and Linda Davis's Does He Love You, Dwight Yokum performing Fast As You, and Garth's Singing American Honkytonk Bar Association, and George Strait singing Easy Come, Easy Go. Think about this, this show aired 30 years ago which means these songs are also all 30 years old!

We watched the whole show and you will see performances by Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Sammy Kershaw, Trisha Yearwood, Mark Chesnutt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Reba McEntire, Billy Ray Cyrus, and more. It is really neat to see what they looked like then and hear all the songs that we now think of as classic country. Enjoy!
