Updated Southwest Louisiana School Closures For Monday, April 29

The weather moving through Southwest Louisiana this morning has prompted officials with the school boards across the five parish areas to decide whether or not to have school today.

The list has been growing since last night and here is the list of all the school closures for the five parishes in Southwest Louisiana that have closed schools today, Monday, April 29th, 2024.

All Calcasieu Parish Schools are closed today

All Diocese of Lake Charles catholic schools are closed today

All Jeff Davis Parish Schools Closed

All Allen Parish Schools are Closed

All Cameron Parish Schools are closed

Beauregard Parish all students will have a virtual school day

In Vernon Parish, they have announced that they will delay the start of the school day with school beginning at 10:00 am.

McNeese State University made an announcement,

Finals scheduled for 8:00 a.m. tomorrow will be rescheduled to Friday, May 3 at 8:00 a.m. Finals are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday is still planned to take place as scheduled, however, students should check with their instructors before coming to campus in case those finals have been rescheduled by the instructors. Campus offices will open at 10:00 a.m. Employees should also wait until it's safe to drive before coming to campus.
