We Now Know The Opening Date For Jersey Mike’s Subs In Lake Charles

Back in January of this year, we reported that a new sub restaurant was coming to Lake Charles. We found out then that a Jersey Mike's was coming to Lake Charles. When we last reported it, we didn't know when it may open but now we do.

Jersey Mike's was founded in 1956 but in 1971 a 17-year-old boy named Peter Cancro scrapped up $125,000 to buy the local eatery that was located in  Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. In 1987, Cancro started franchising the sub shop and by 2020 there were already 1973 different locations.

They also got aggressive with the advertising lately because, in September of 2022, Jersey Mike's hired Danny DeVito as a spokesman and started running ads on radio and television commercials, DeVito is the first celebrity spokesperson for the 60-plus-year-old company.

Now you can add at least one more location to the list as Jersey Mike's is now here in Lake Charles and is set to open really soon. There is a banner outside of the store right now with a countdown on it. We saw a couple of days ago that it said they would be open in 11 days so that means as of today, Jersey Mike's will be opening in about eight days here in Lake Charles.

The New Jersey Mike's is located at 3723 Nelson Road in South Lake Charles in a strip center shopping mall. It is in the same shopping mall area where Chicken Salad Chick is located.
