Your New Schedule For Trash Pickup For The Holiday’s In Lake Charles

The Christmas and New Year holidays are on their way, so many public entities will be closing to observe the holidays.  Such is the case for the City Of Lake Charles.

The City of Lake Charles will observe the Christmas Holiday on Monday, December 26, 2022, and the New Year’s Holiday on Monday, January 2, 2023.

Katie Harington with the city of Lake Charles said,

Lake Charles City Hall and all other services of the Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, December 26, 2022 in observance of the Christmas Holiday and will resume regular working hours on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Offices will also be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023, in observance of the New Year’s Holiday and will resume regular working hours on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Since the city of Lake Charles will be observing these holidays, what will that do for your trash being picked up? The city of Lake Charles has released a new schedule of days and times when your trash will be picked up during the holiday season and we have it here for you.

According to the City of Lake Charles,

Christmas Holiday Schedule:

• Garbage and Trash scheduled for pickup on Monday, December 26, 2022, will be rescheduled for pickup on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

 

• Garbage and Trash scheduled for pick up on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, will be picked up on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

 

• Thursday and Friday routes will remain on their regular schedules.

 

New Year’s Holiday Schedule:

• Garbage and Trash scheduled for pickup on Monday, January 2, 2023, will be rescheduled for pickup on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

 

• Garbage and Trash scheduled for pickup on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, will be rescheduled for pick up on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

 

• Thursday and Friday routes will remain on their regular schedules.

The Wood Waste Facility, the Team Green Recycling Truck, and the Nelson Ball Field Recycling Stations will also be closed on Monday, December 26, 2022.

Don't forget that your garbage cans need to be put out before 7:00 am on the day that your trash is scheduled to be picked up and you need to retrieve your cans by 7:00 pm the same day after your trash has been picked up.
