🐊 KNGT 🐊 | Lake Charles, LA —  If you’ve been waiting on a good excuse to get out the house, this weekend might be it.

Spring is finally showing up around Southwest Louisiana, and a lotta folks are getting that three day weekend feeling. Sunshine, warmer temps, kids bouncing off the walls… yeah, it’s time to go do something.

And right here in Lake Charles, you don’t have to go far.

Over at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park, they’re kicking off Easter weekend in a big way. We’re talking egg hunts, games for the kids, and the official opening of the pools and splash pads. That right there is enough to get any kid fired up… and let’s be honest, a few adults too.

Who's Playing at Jellystone Park this Weekend?

They’ve got live music lined up from Ryan Foret and Foret Tradition. If you’ve ever seen them live, you already know… it’s hard to sit still when they get going. It’s that good Louisiana sound that just makes you wanna grab a drink, tap your foot, and stay awhile.

So you’ve got something for everybody.

Kids can run wild hunting eggs and playing games. Parents can kick back, enjoy the music, and maybe sneak in a little sunshine by the pool. It’s one of those weekends where you don’t need a big plan… you just show up and have a good time.

Everything’s happening at 4200 Luke Powers Road, right here in Lake Charles. Easy drive, no stress.

If your weekend’s still looking kinda empty, this might be your move. Good weather, live music, Easter fun, and a pool opening all rolled into one.

Honestly… that’s about as SWLA as it gets.

TRAFFIC NIGHTMARES: Top 5 Lake Charles & SWLA Streets to Avoid

You know the ones we are talking about. The streets where it seems like the traffic never stops. The ones that take you 10 minutes or more to pull out of a business to merge onto the street without getting run over, or where it seems that a thousand cars are coming down the road, and you feel like you will never be able to pull out.
