SWLA Cajun Weekend Weather Report Starts This Week

🐊 KNGT 🐊 | Lake Charles, LA —  If you listen to me in the mornings, you already know… I like to keep things real around here. And I got to thinking… we talk about weather all the time, but we never talk about it the way folks in Southwest Louisiana actually live it.

So starting now, every Wednesday, I’m rolling out something new… I’m calling it the Cajun Weekend Weather Report.

This ain’t gonna be your normal “high of this, low of that” kinda deal. Nah. This is the real-life version. The kind where you figure out if it’s a good weekend for a cookout, a cold beer, or just sittin’ inside watching it rain hit the porch.

Whats the Weather going to be like in Lake Charles this weekend?

Friday
We’re lookin at about 83 for the high and 68 for the low, with some morning thunderstorms rollin through. About a 40% chance of rain and a little wind.

So here’s the deal… if you got plans Friday morning, you might wanna grab that rain jacket. Or just accept the fact you gonna get a little wet. Ain’t the end of the world.

By the afternoon though, it’s gonna warm up. That kind of weather where it’s muggy, your shirt sticks to your back, and you start thinking… yeah… I probably need to get an extra bag of ice for the cooler.

Saturday
Now Saturday… kinda the same story. 82 for the high, scattered storms, little breezy.

This is that tricky Louisiana weather. You wake up thinking you’re gonna get stuff done… then boom… rain pops up outta nowhere.

Still though, it ain’t a washout. You can still grill. You can still fish. Just keep one eye on the sky and one hand on your drink.

Sunday
Sunday cools off a bit. High around 74, low in the low 50s, but more showers… and a better chance of rain too.

This right here… this is lazy day weather.

I’m talkin hoodie, couch, maybe a little gumbo on the stove. If it stays cool enough, might even be a good excuse to pour a little whiskey and pretend you’re roughin’ it… even if you’re just sittin in the living room.

So that’s it. That’s the very first Cajun Weekend Weather Report.
