Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Elect New President For 2019

It's a new year and with a new year comes a new President and Vice President at the helm for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.

Last night at the meeting the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury elected Kevin White as its 2019 president and Shelly Mayo as its vice president. Kevin White will take over the duties from Judd Bares who is the outgoing President.

White is a police juror from the Moss Bluff area which is District 1. The area covers most of Moss Bluff and Ward 1.

White is the director of NDT Business Development for the Louisiana Division at JZR.

Shelly Mayo was elected Vice President. Mayo's coverage area is District 3, which includes part of the City of Lake Charles and portions of Ward 3.

Both White and Mayo are serving in their first term as a Police Juror.
