Calcasieu Parish Police Jury To Have A ‘Kid Zone’ On Mardi Gras Day

Mardi Gras is a little over two weeks away and the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury (CPPJ) has already announced that the "Kid Zone" is back this year!.  The Kid Zone will take place on Mardi Gras day on the parade route in Lake Charles.

The Kid Zone is a family friendly event.  The CPPJ mission is to have a safe place for teens and kids to celebrate Mardi Gras that is Alcohol and Tobacco free.

The Kid's Zone will feature pizza, popcorn, a bounce house and a DJ playing music.  They will also have fun events like laser tag, face painting and train rides.

The Kid's Zone will be located on the parade route on Ryan Street between Pujo Street  and Kirby streets.  The Kid's Zone will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
