If you like to hunt but never got your certification, then now is the time to do it as the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Hunter’s Education Course In Lake Charles this month.

The course is open to anyone 10 years old and older and will take place in March right here in Lake Charles. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kayla Vincent said,

 The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is hosting a hunter’s education course on Friday, March 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the class will continue on Saturday, March 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

The course will be held at the Calcasieu Parish Regional Training Academy located at 3958 Mallard Cove in Lake Charles.  Participants must attend both days in order to receive credit for the course.

 

This course is offered free of charge to anyone 10 years of age or older.  You must pre-register for the class by visiting https://louisianaoutdoors.com/events/192244   For more information please call (337) 491-3784.

 

Refreshments will be provided on both days and lunch will be provided on Saturday.

This course is important to take especially for the younger kids as it will teach them best practices and safety while hunting. We love to be outdoors here in Southwest Louisiana.
