Calcasieu Sheriffs Office To Hold Annual Youth Fishing Derby

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office along with their DARE division will be holding their annual Youth Fishing Derby in September.

This is a chance to get the kids outdoors and get to interact with other kids and police officers in a fun atmosphere.

Kim Myers with the CPSO said,

Participants, who must be 15 years of age or younger, are asked to bring their own fishing gear, bait, lawn chairs, and a cooler to bring their fish home.  Refreshments will be furnished.

This is a free event and is super fun.  The event is September 8th, 2018 from 7:00am to 10:00am. They also encourage any youth groups to come as well.  For more info, call 491-3621 or 491-3851.
