
Celery Recall Hits 28 States Including Texas Over Listeria Risk
Texas-Due to the potential for contamination, bagged vegetables sold in Texas and 27 other states is being recalled.
Due to the possibility of Listeria monocytogenes contamination, Oviedo, Florida-based Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. has voluntarily recalled its products, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The affected products are Marketside Celery Sticks 4-inch/1.6-ounce bags that have been cleaned and are ready to eat, with a best-if-used-by date of March 23, 2025.
In addition to Texas, Walmart stores in Alabama, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia also carried the bags.
They are recognized by the lot code P047650 on the front of the bag and the UPC code 6 81131 16151 0 on the reverse.
Although this product is no longer available in stores, customers might have frozen it for use at a later time. Customers should not eat or throw away this product if they have it in their possession, even if it is in their freezer.
As of now, no illnesses have been reported.
