UPDATE 10:10 a.m. -- DeQuincy Memorial representatives confirmed that they are evacuating some patients to Vinton after a portion of the roof was blown off the facility.  The hospital, however, is still open and receiving patients as needed.

Police are not confirming any actual sightings of a funnel cloud, but wind gusts were strong enough to minorly damage several local businesses.  Electrical crews are working to restore power across the area.

No injuries have been reported.

ORIGINAL POST, 9:41 a.m.: DeQuincy Police have confirmed that strong winds have led to multiple power outages across the town. Meanwhile, patients are being evacuated from portions of DeQuincy Memorial Hospital after part of the roof blew off the patient care center.

Residents with medical emergencies should call 911, but those with minor problems who can get to a different facility should probably do so for the time being.  No injuries have yet been reported from the tornadic activity, though police say several homes in the area are reporting damage.

One traffic light is blown down at 4th and Pine streets, and police are also reporting downed power lines around town.  DO NOT touch or drive over downed lines!
