Events & Concerts In Lake Charles And SWLA This Weekend August 9-11

Is it just us or has this week seemed like it took forever to end? Thank goodness it is Friday and the weekend is finally here. Time to get out there and have some fun, right?

There are concerts, music, and events going on all over Southwest Louisiana this weekend starting tonight and rolling through Sunday. Here is a list of what we know is going on in the area.

The Three Dog Night concert that was supposed to take place at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles has been rescheduled to November 23, 2024. Saturday night however, they will have a concert at the Golden Nugget as Ashley Cooke, an up-and-coming country star, will perform at 8:00 pm in the Grand Event Center.

Linda's Lounge located at 4338 Lake Street in Lake Charles will have Pefectly Good Airplane performing live Friday night from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. On Saturday night, Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Roadrunners will be in the house live from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Chaser's Bar & Grill located on the corner of Lake Street and Univeristy Drive in South Lake Charles will have Travis Matte & The Zydeco Kingpins live in concert this Friday night, August 9th, 2024. Doors open at 9:00 p.m. and Travis hits the stage at 10:00 p.m. Here are all the details. 

Loggerheads on Old Town Road off of Highway 171 in Lake Charles will have live music all weekend. Friday night they will have Frayed Soul, Saturday night the River Katz, and Sunday afternoon they will have J.C. Melacon. Also inside the Riverside Event Center next to Loggerheads, they will have a special concert with The Envies live from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Admission to The Envies show is $10.
