Sometimes you get so excited about something that you just have to go for it. That seemed to be the case for this Astros fan during last night's Game 2 of the ALCS against the Yankees. The 2-0 Astros hosted the Yankees and were leading 3-2 at the top of the 9th. Suddenly a fan runs out onto the field carrying his cell phone. He runs up to Jose Altuve and gives him a giant hug, had a short conversation with him, but just before grabbing an epic selfie, the fan was cuffed and dragged off of the field. So what was said to Altuve?

Altuve was super nervous he claimed at first but said in one interview that once he saw the fan was wearing an Astros jersey, he knew he would be ok. It took 6 officers to hold down the over-excited fan, but he was detained safely and removed from the field as the Astros would close out Game 2 with another win 3-2.

According to Justbats.com, the penalty for running onto a professional baseball field is a $250-$1,000 fine for a first offender and a night to 10 days in jail. That is, of course, assuming you kept your clothes on during the mad dash for the field. It also seems to differ for various states as well. In Ohio, you can get up to 6 months in jail. Incidentally, there is a Calvin Klein law in New York City after the designer walked out onto the court during a game and talked to Latrell Sprewell. That law if broken can get you up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $25,000.
