Foret Tradition, Damon Troy, Johnny Jimenez Headline Blake Matt Benefit In Iowa, La This Saturday Jan 21

One thing I love about folks in Southwest Louisiana is that when someone is in need or a family is in need, people here rally around them to help each other out. Such is the case for Blake Matt.

This is the case for Blake Matt. Friends and family have gotten together and are putting on a benefit for the late Blake Matt.

Blake went into a local hospital with two infectious blood diseases and spent over a month in ICU before he was airlifted to New Orleans where he died two weeks later at the age of 39.

He leaves behind a son, Keaton, and a lot of bills due to his stay in the hospital. You can just imagine how much the life flight to New Orleans cost alone. The benefit is taking place to help offset the medical expenses and a college fund for his only son.

The event will take place this Saturday, January 21st, 2023 at the KC Hall located at 503 Highway 90 in Iowa, Louisiana. The event will take place from 11:00 am until and is full of great food, live and silent auctions, and a great lineup of live entertainment all day into the night.

Chad Austin & Mike Soileau with Gator 99.5 will be the emcees for the event the entire day.

Doors open at 11:00 and that is when the music gets started. Here is a list of all the events going on this Saturday, January 21, 2023.

4:30 pm to 5:30 pm -- Live Auction -- Hal McMillin & Mike Soileau Gator 99.5

6:00 pm until --- Johnny Jimenez
