Golden Chick Announces Latest Opening in Southwest Louisiana

Sulphur, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - Golden Chick is getting ready to open its THIRD location right here in SWLA! Which means you will be able to get some of those GEAUXlden tenders just about anywhere here in the Lake Charles/Sulphur area.

Golden Chick has been around for a while. The very first one opened in San Marcos, Texas, back in 1967, and it was originally called Golden Fried Chicken. They switched the name to just Golden Chick in 1993, and since then, it’s grown like crazy.

We already have two locations here in Southwest Louisiana, one on Ryan Street and another over on Gerstner Memorial Drive (Hwy 14). I’ve been to both more times than I can count, and let me just say: the chicken is always on point. But honestly, my favorite thing? That LottaZing sauce. I don’t even know how to describe it—it's just so good. I dip everything in it.

According to their website, “Golden Chick is one of the fastest growing restaurant brands in the U.S. and was recognized as one of the very top brands in the country by Nation’s Restaurant News. Big things are planned for the little brand that started in San Marcos back in 1967. If there’s not a Golden Chick in your city now, there probably will be soon.”

If you love chicken as much as I do, get ready, Golden Chick is opening up a brand-new location right here in Sulphur! The grand opening is this Thursday, May 15th, at 10 a.m., and it’s located at 251 North Cities Service Highway.
