Louisiana Teacher Faces Felony Arrest After Forcing Child to Clean Own Feces
A Louisiana mother demanded answers after finding out her 6-year-old child was forced to clean up their own feces in the classroom after having an allergic reaction to dairy.

According to the child's mother, Jamisha Augustine, her child has a known dairy allergy that was properly documented with the school prior to the incident. She says she provided documents from her child's doctor at the beginning of the school year.
However, when her 6-year-old asked to go to the bathroom at Rollins Place Elementary, they were denied and soon after had an accident on themselves due to an allergy attack.

"She said no because she went too many times. So, upon her going to the office after having an accident, the principal told her she was too big to be having accidents on herself.”
The final straw was finding out the administrator gave her child gloves and was instructed to 'clean up the mess she made' according to WAFB.
After two months of investigating an arrest was made Monday morning.
Louisiana Teacher Faces Felony Arrest After Forcing Child to Clean Own Feces
Monday morning, WAFB reported that a felony arrest warrant was issued after surveillance footage showed a student cleaning up her own feces after having an allergy attack in the classroom.
Kristy Scott Gilpin, an administrator at Rollins Place Elementary, has been booked on a felony charge of cruelty to juveniles.
Gilpin turned herself into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail Monday; however, her lawyer, John McClendon, says his client is innocent and the child's mother 'grossly misrepresented' what happened at school that day.
WAFB reached out to the Zachary School's Superintendent, Ben Necaise, for a comment but has not received a call back or any details regarding Gilpin's employment status.
