Lake Charles & Calcasieu Parish, Your Trash pickup is Changing This Week
This weekend, we will be celebrating the Easter holiday starting on Friday. Most people are off on Good Friday, which means closures to vital services you rely on each week.
As we prepare for the Easter holiday, some will be traveling to see family or staying home to host friends and family members. That will cause you to have an abnormal amount of trash and garbage than you are used to.
This means you will want to stay vigilant and know when your trash will be picked up this week for the holiday so that you don't have an overflow of garbage this week into next week.
Just a heads up, Lake Charles and residents of Calcasieu Parish, your trash pickup times will be changing this week for the holiday. For Lake Charles residents, the City of Lake Charles will observe Good Friday on Friday, April 18, 2025, which means there will not be any trash or garbage picked up on that day.

For residents of Calcasieu Parish who have Waste Management trash pick up, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury will also be observing Good Friday as a holiday and will be closed, too.

All Calcasieu Parish Police Jury departments will be closed Friday, April 18, in observance of the Good Friday holiday.
