A local Lake Charles seafood retailer has announced they will be officially closing their doors later this year. This is an incredibly sad day for not only Southwest Louisiana but also for Louisiana Seafood lovers as a whole.

Bourg Fresh Seafood in Lake Charles announced on Wednesday that in November, the business will be closing its doors. Bourg Fresh Seafood is a part of Louisiana Direct Seafood, which is a marketing initiative administered by LSU Ag Center and Louisiana Sea Grant, with funding from the Louisiana Office of Community Development and the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Council.

it is official Bourg's fresh seafood is closing its doors we've tried really hard to keep the doors open as long as possible but we do not have funding to pay the bills and employees any longer. bourg's would like to thank everyone for their support and love throughout the years; y'all are not just customers, y'all were like family. thank you all for supporting MR. We are sad to see this LOCAL business go out of business. Bourg's last day open will be November 10th.
