Let’s Bowl, Turkey!

Mike Soileau and I hung out with other local media personalities today at Market Basket in Moss Bluff for their annual Turkey Bowl. It's something they did for quite some time, and stopped, but decided it was time to bring it back. Boy, did they bring it back! They invited teams of media personalities (in our case, I use "personality" loosley), to compete against each other for the prize of the Turkey Bowl Trophy and $1000 donated to the winners charity of choice.

Just for participating, Market Basket donated $500 on behalf of each team to the charity of our choosing. Gator's charity? Colors for a Cause. They are in the midst of their Turkey Trot, and will use the donation to help local families pay bills or buy food for Thanksgiving. We were so honored to be asked to compete in this event, and had an absolute blast. Plus, we got to help out one of our favorite charities in SWLA.

We didn't take home the trophy, but we did get some amazing take home gifts (celebrity style) from Market Basket, a participation award, and the $500 donation to Colors for a Cause.
