Top Five Fireworks People Buy In Louisiana

Roman Candles - A classic favorite that shoots out a series of 8 to 10 fireballs. They are colorful bursts into the night sky.

Firecrackers - This is the one firework that is the most dangerous if you light them in your hand and then throw them. (Don't Do That). When Firecrackers go off, they usually scare the crap out of anyone in the vicinity who is not expecting them to go off.

Sparkers - They are pretty inexpensive, and that is because they burn for only about 30 seconds, and it's over. Even though the thrill is fast, kids think it's the greatest thing they have ever held in their hands.

Bottle Rockets - Now this was my favorite firework when I was a kid. They call them bottle rockets because you are supposed to place them in a bottle, light them, and they take off flying and pop in mid-air. They still sell the bigger ones in Louisiana, but the smaller ones they used to sell back in the 80s are no longer available.

Cannons- You know which ones we are talking about. Those big, huge tubes that fire off massive explosions in the sky like you're celebrating the LSU Tigers winning the National Championship.

Before lighting the fuse, remember to follow all safety guidelines, and kids, you always need to have an adult supervising while using them. With the right fireworks and good company, your Louisiana Fourth of July celebration is sure to be unforgettable.
