What Is the SUN Bucks Program?

The program helps children who normally receive free or reduced-price school meals during the school year continue getting healthy food during summer break. Children who are automatically enrolled in the program should see their SUN Bucks benefits added to their EBT card between May 27 and June 2, 2026.

How Much Money Will Families Get?

The SUN Bucks program is designed to help families save money and make sure children have enough food during the summer months when school cafeterias are closed. SUN Bucks provides eligible families with a one-time $120 payment per child to help buy groceries while school is out for the summer.

For SNAP households and families who received SUN Bucks last year, the money will be added to their current EBT card. Other families will receive a new preloaded EBT card in a plain white envelope addressed to the child.
