Luke Bryan’s Farm Tours are more than just a good time — they're a celebration of the hardworking farming families across the U.S. Part of that is encouraging the next generation of farmers with the Farm Tour Scholarship.

After eight years running the tour, Bryan has now helped give 50 students a bright future with his generosity, according to a news release. Funded from the proceeds of the tour, the Farm Tour Scholarship is given each year to a student from each community in which the tour stops who either comes from a farming family, or plans on majoring in agriculture.

This year's Farm Tour has had a couple of setbacks due to Hurricane Matthew and a biking accident that left Bryan with a broken collar bone. Now that he’s had surgery to repair the break, the superstar is ready to get back on stage. The rural tour continues with shows on Oct. 14 in Missouri and Oct. 15 in Illinois.

Bryan's Farm Tour was also unique this year in that a new EP came along with it. Here’s to the Farmer offered several new songs from in tribute to farm life (Bryan himself is the son of a peanut farmer). He says even though they’re not all overtly about farming, they all have the spirit of life on the range.

“I learned a lot doing the Spring Break albums through the years, so with Farm Tour album, it’s just to have those little nuances of farm-related things. Some of ‘em obviously scream more farm stuff than the others, but at the end of the day, it’s just all about (A) is it a great song that we feel like is worthy of making this EP? And (B) does it kind of go along with that rural [theme]? I kinda think Farm Tours will always have that ruralness, that rural theme,” Bryan explains.

Bryan has been on his Kill the Lights Tour for most of 2016, and he still has two stadium dates lined up after the Farm Tour wraps. He'll play the AT&T Stadium in Dallas Oct. 22 and Detroit’s Ford Field Oct. 29.
