July in Louisiana is the festival season, especially in Southwest Louisiana. You may not realize it but there is a festival every week or weekend in Southwest Louisiana in July 2024.

Louisiana is known for its Louisiana music-based festivals but some festivals incorporate all genres of music other than Louisiana music. Some however are strictly Cajun, Swamp Pop, and Zydeco Louisiana music which is a reflection of the the Louisiana culture.

The city of Lake Charles will hold its annual Red, White, Blue, and You July 4th celebration on Thursday, July 4th, 2024. The celebration includes concerts at the Lake Charles Event Center Arcade Pavilion starting at 6:00 pm with patriotic music then at at 7:00 pm, The Flamethrowers will take the stage. They will also have concessions, face painting, and a fireworks display over the lake.

The Coushatta Crossroads festival is on Saturday, July 20th, 2024 in Kinder, Louisiana at the pavilion at Coushatta Casino Resort. The festival features a 3500 square foot dance floor with two stages and the who's who of Cajun and Zydeco artists performing all day beginning at 1:00 pm. Here is the lineup.

The Cajun Music and Food Festival will take place at the Burton Complex on July 20th, 2024 presented by the Lake Charles Chapter of The Cajun French Music Association. It takes place from 9:00 am through 10:00 pm that Saturday.

The Marshland Festival will take place inside the Lake Charles Event Center Coliseum on Friday and Saturday, July 26th & 27th, 2024. The Marshland Festival is one of the biggest festivals in the South with two stages and live music Friday night and all day Saturday into Saturday night. The lineup for the festival has not been released yet.
