New Gator 99.5 Morning Show Announced

We've been teasing it for about three weeks now and this morning the cat was let out of the bag. Chad Austin has joined Townsquare Media and joins Mike Soileau in the mornings.

This show honestly has been talked about between Mike and Chad for the past 20 years.  We used to always ask each other what we thought about about doing a show together and today that thought became a reality.

Chad Austin is a staple in Southwest Louisiana radio, as he has been on the air in the area for over 22 years. Chad has worked at then Cajun Country 92.9 in Jennings and also used to work here at TSM on then Crawfish 107.5 and KBIG99, where he did middays.

Chad also was the program director and morning show host on KYKZ for years before leaving in 2017. Chad stayed out of radio for the past two-and-a-half years but always had the itch to get back into it. Now, as of this morning, he is part of the Gator 99.5 team and will be part of Mike Soileau & Chad Austin in the morning on Gator 99.5.

Chad has been awarded the Lagniappe radio personality of the year four times and Mike has won the award for the past two years, along with the morning show winning the best radio show in Southwest Louisiana.

Chad Austin was born and raised in Moss Bluff, while Mike Soileau was born and raised in Lake Charles. Mike has been in radio for over 30 years. Southwest Louisiana mornings will never be the same with these two radio veterans.
