The first week of the preseason is underway with two games being played last night. New England beat Washington 22-13 and the Steelers beat the Eagles 24-16.

Tonight, three games are on tap as Tennessee takes on Atlanta, Buffalo travels to Detroit, and Dallas will be in Arizona. The big question is though, when will the Saints play their first preseason game?

Well, that will be tomorrow night as the Saints will take on the Baltimore Ravens up in Maryland. This will be the first time that the Saints will hit the field since the retirement of future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees.

Brees announced his retirement after the end of last season after playing with the Saints from 2006 to 2020.  Brees also led the New Orleans Saints' to their first-ever Superbowl and championship back in 2009.

Now the big question for the new offense for the Saints is who will be the next quarterback? Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston will be competing for that coveted spot.

We will have to see if both of these players get any playing time tomorrow night. We would assume they both would see action against the Ravens. Sean Payton needs to see how they will perform now that there is no Drew Brees to go to in a game.

A new era of football is about to begin tomorrow night in New Orleans. The game will be televised locally on KPLC channel 7.
