In the heart of Texas, the once-bustling parking lots of this popular convenience store began to feel eerily empty. News broke that the popular chain would close 400 locations across North America, a move that sent shockwaves through communities that had relied on the famous iconic sign and friendly faces behind the counters.

For decades,  this popular store brand had been more than just a place to grab snacks or fill up on gas; it was where neighbors exchanged stories, where parents found late-night essentials, and where kids collected their favorite candy after school. As the announcement spread, whispers filled the air in small towns and big cities alike across Texas wondering if their local store would be one of the casualties.

There was no word yet on what 400 locations will be closed or how many of them will be in the state of Texas. Just know that if you have a 7-Eleven in your town or city, you may see a closed sign hung up on their doors as soon as the shutdowns loom.
