Louisiana shoppers might see their favorite Halloween store sticking around a little longer this year—but with a festive twist! Spirit Halloween, the store known for transforming empty storefronts into Halloween wonderlands, is trying something new. Some of its locations will stay open past Halloween and turn into Christmas shops called “Spirit Christmas.”

According to a company spokesperson, Spirit Halloween plans to test this new idea by opening 10 Spirit Christmas locations around the Northeast. These stores will stay open through the entire holiday season, offering a unique shopping experience. Instead of costumes and fake skulls, these stores will feature holiday decor like inflatables and ornaments. They will also include fun activities like photos with Santa and writing letters to the North Pole.

Spirit Halloween, which has opened over 1,500 stores across the U.S. and Canada in 2024, hopes this new idea will appeal to holiday shoppers. The company says they want to bring the same excitement to Christmas as they do for Halloween, with festive decorations and activities to get people in the holiday spirit.

Although none of the Spirit Christmas stores are planned for Louisiana just yet, locals might see the holiday concept making its way down south in the future if the test run is successful. Keep an eye out—you never know when your local Halloween store could turn into a winter wonderland!
