Popular Texas Hotel Chain With Over 250 Locations Was Ranked the Dirtiest in America
Whether I'm heading out of town for a business trip, a weekend getaway, or a family vacation, I always do my homework when picking a hotel. There’s nothing worse than walking into a dirty room!
The first thing I check is the bed—I pull back the sheets and look for stains, stray hairs, or any signs of bedbugs along the mattress seams. Next, I check the bathroom, ensuring the sink, toilet, and shower are clean and mold-free. What about you? Do you have a hotel check-in routine? Let us know in the comments!
According to The Travel, the dirtiest hotel chain in America has over 100 locations right here in Texas. Of course, not every hotel in a chain is the same. A recently renovated location in Dallas might completely differ from an older one in a smaller town. But when you think of dirty hotels, you probably picture rundown motels or budget-friendly spots with bad reviews. Surprisingly, the hotel that topped this list is one many travelers wouldn’t expect.
According to the rankings, Hampton Hotels was named the dirtiest hotel chain in the U.S. This might be shocking, especially since Hamptons are usually affordable and don’t have terrible online reviews. Many of their locations even have 3- or 4-star ratings on TripAdvisor.
With more than 250 locations across Texas, chances are you’ve stayed in a Hampton before. Did it live up to this ranking, or do you think it’s unfair?
