There are some decorations being hung in various stores for the Christmas holiday. However, does it feel like it's the holiday time for you, personally? Well, Red Kettle Season at The Salvation Army looks a little different during COVID-19.

Due to the ordinances of the pandemic, The Salvation Army will be doing things differently with the Red Kettle as things will be taking the digital route this year. Things are also starting a little earlier this year as opposed to previous years. You can now make contributions at the register during checkout at local retailers. You can also do online donations, which can be found at LakeCharlesKettle.org.

There will also be smart chips and QR codes on Red Kettle signs, allowing shoppers to simply scan your phones to make digital donations. Most shoppers will also be directed to a donation page that accepts Apple or Google payment options.

If you would like more details on how to contribute or obtain additional information,  call LT. Thomas Marion at 337-721-8068.
